Testimonial of P.M. (Brain disorder)
I have cerebral and cerebellar organic brain
disorder. This means that I have trouble walking, poor balance,
problems with speech, poor short term concentration and I tire
easily. My condition is permanent and progressive. I have also been
diagnosed with bi-polar affective disorder.
Cannabis helps to balance my neural synapse transmission and
improves my sleep cycle. It also triggers my serotonin flow which
means I have less depression and anxiety and fewer extreme bi-polar
episodes. Because of this I was able to stop taking Prozac and
Paxil. Cannabis also stimulates my hormonal imbalance and, thus, I
am less dependent on levothyroxin and thyroxin.
I get my medicine from the BC Compassion Club Society because it
means I am no longer supporting the underground economy and that I
am no longer putting myself at risk through exposure to this
element. Cannabis from the Compassion Club is also less expensive
and is monitored by trained staff. The Compassion Club also
provides me with auxiliary services and with a supportive
environment.
